Thursday

We had the weed assembly on Wednesday February 25th and I told all of the classes on Wednesday that we would be doing the weed essay. We put up a brainstorming chart on the board on Thursday, February 26th and came up with many different ideas for the essay. On Monday, March 2nd students were told to have their outline ready by Tuesday, the next day, so they could go and type the essay. On Tuesday, March 3rd we again took class time to work on the essay. The assignment was on the homework board and also on the Internet.

Today many students were gone because of the play. Those left in class joined me at www.energyhog.org where they learned different ways to conserve energy at home. The students in class got a paper to do with their families about energy. Those who were gone will get the paper on Monday. The paper needs to be signed by the parents and turned in by March 12th.
