6th grade: We sent home a paper for parents to sign. This paper explains what is expected in class. We learned about metabolism, organisms and then watched a Power Point Presentation on the six characteristics of life.
7th grade: Students that brought their assigned flower used it to create a hypothesis and carry out an experiment to see what substances would keep their flower fresh for the longest period of time. Next we reviewed safety symbols so students would understand what they meant.
